We’ve all been impacted by experiences where ourselves, loved ones or friends have been diagnosed with an illness. I am a firm believer that we can all band together and positively impact others who have emotionally, financially, physically or even spiritually drained by life circumstance. We are happy to pair up with the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation as the beneficiary of our inaugural Game of Throws 50/50 Cornhole Tournament. We have two brackets (described below) and 50% of ALL entry fees will be donated to the foundation to continue their support of those directly affected by Cystic Fibrosis. 1st, 2nd and 3rd place payouts for each bracket with the other 50% of entry fees. We will also have an onsite Cash Toss game for $10 (see below), which will also be split 50% to CFF and 50% to the winner (see below). High level rules- first team to 21 or over, must win by two points (1 point on board, 3 points in hole, opposing team’s points offset, rules expanded upon at tournament). We are excited to host our first Game of Throws Corn Hole Tournament and hope to see many of our friends attend for a fantastic time that also supports a great cause!
This is for those of you that take Corn Hole pretty darn seriously. You’ve played more than the occasional back yard game, be honest! Example: 3-4 of your throws hit the board or end up in the hole, on like every turn. Perhaps you’ve had quite a few back yard encounters filled with dirty looks because you won’t stop winning, and therefore other people don’t get to play (at all, or at least very long against you). Let’s face it, you belong in your own bracket. We want to entice you by letting you know that your winnings will be higher, as each tournament we aim to have a very similar number of teams. We also want to encourage some a fun/welcoming environment for our less seasoned players, so given the fact that this is supposed to be a fun charitable endeavor, play here if you’re “pretty good” or better!
We encourage all to play here who aren’t real seasoned in Corn Hole. Let’s say that typically a 1-2 of your throws don’t even hit the board. You probably see the corn hole boards and don’t even bother asking to play because it’s being hogged by the “you know who(s) above!” You’d still like to have fun for a good cause, and would enjoy participating in a competitive tournament against similar caliber opponents. We want to host as many people as possible who desire to play, which is why we have two brackets at two different price points.
We are looking for 10+ sponsors to help The Brutton Group cover some of the facility and event costs. Your sponsorship will be quite the marketing experience, and you get a really awesome takeaway! Your company/organization/team logo will be present on two official corn hole boards throughout tournament play. Your logo will also be present several times on our custom tournament brackets, referencing where each individual match will take place. You will also be recognized on our Thank You Banner and verbally thanked at our check presentation to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation at the conclusion of our event. You will even get shout-outs on social media leading up to and during the event. Most importantly, you’ll be helping a great cause and making a huge impact! Oh yeah, did I mention you get to keep your custom boards. Yeah, we’re serious and want to make sure you know how much we appreciate your help! *Board sponsorship does not include entry fee into either tournament*
$10 cash only (play as many times as you like within specified time period). Each $10 entry gets 4 throws. One throw from 5 yards, 10 yards, 15 yards and 20 years. You throw all 4 bags and each bag will remain lying where you threw it until your turn is over. We then tally your total number of points after all four throws (like normal Corn Hole scoring). The winner gets 50% of the pot, while the other 50% goes to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation. We will make several announcements throughout the day keeping you apprised of the action, so bring plenty of cash to participate!
